How we use AI at Tarot for the Wild Soul
I aim to use AI as sparingly as possible in both my personal life and here at Tarot for the Wild Soul.
I pay $35 per month for Descript. It is a program that allows us to get a baseline text for our transcriptionists to refine and work with, so they aren’t coming at it from scratch. We have anywhere from 8-20 pieces of audio or video that need transcribing per month, depending on what we’re doing, so this is a big help.
I pay $240/year for Otter AI. It creates live captions and transcription for our live Zoom classes, workshops, and course Q&A calls. Folks who might want or need to follow with the live closed captioning of our classes (as opposed to listening or watching the class down) may do so in real time, thanks to Otter.
I also pay $528/year for Tango. Tango allows us to create beautifully clear step by step tutorials and rundowns to be made for our projects and work flows, from an administrative/backend basis. Examples of this are “How to create a course in Kajabi,” and “How to send a marketing email in Flodesk,” among many other things. We have a big team library with multiple categories for this tasks, which can be accessed by any of us. If someone is out sick, if we have a change in our team, or if we need to get something done (either for ourselves or for one another in a pinch), the clear steps are there. It’s truly a godsend.
All of our emails (from me and from the rest of the team), and all of my work — newsletter missives, posts, Tarot spreads, all of my writing, everything I create — is done completely by me, without the use of AI (even for editing purposes).
