The Present Is All There Is
One of the core principals of Soul Tarot is that Tarot truly lives only in the present moment.
There is no fixed future. We are birthing it in every moment that we are awake, available and present within ourselves, and to the world around us. Can we pick up on cycles that are to come in a reading? Of course. Can we always rely on the Tarot to pick up on future cycles? Absolutely not, nor should we. This moment is quite literally all there is, and the present moment is where Tarot shines most brightly.
We must ask ourselves: what place does a Tarot practice have in this world, or in these times? If we are being invited to evolve, the Tarot must come along with it, and I believe that it is ready to follow us. A new way is ready to be born, and it starts with this moment.
By making the radically courageous choice to bring our Tarot practice into the present moment, we empower ourselves to build the most aligned future - not only for ourselves, but our fellow humxns, the planet, and the generations that will come after us. If we allow it to be, the Tarot can be a profound reflection of the highest invitation of this moment.
How can we connect to and lean on Tarot for this moment?
By showing up as we are, rather than attempting to get calm and centered before going to our decks.
When we show up to ourselves and our decks just as we are, it presents us with a powerful invitation to rewire the story that we have to be light and serene before reaching out for Divine assistance, as if by showing up in the fullness of our emotions, thoughts, and feelings, we are somehow muddying the connection with Spirit. In fact, the opposite is true. The more we show up to our decks in our messy, raw, enraged, exhausted, glorious imperfection, the more medicine will show up for us in the cards.
